about

These few tunes set free from the sewer
Home recorded and crafted like a micro brewer

Even through I can take all the credit here, I'd like to thank the following persons and various entities for their guidance and influence:

Abbie Hoffman - the great Chicago activist and political agitator
Brownie Hoffman - my cat (IG @leftistkitty)
Dancers Everywhere - for understanding my humor
The French - for forgiving my mispronunciation of their language
The Military Industrial Complex - because now they're watching me and I'm scared
Purple - ( nuff said )
Postmen - it was only a joke
Protestors - because systemic racism, bribery and corruption run the country and we can't allow it to continue anymore

I wrote Abbie Hoffman in December of 2019 before the events of 2020 and I think the lyrics of that song ring truer than ever. Purple Yellow was written over the course of quarantine and echoes the low-key lonely self quarantine vibe. Complex I wrote shortly after the mass protests at the beginning of June.

If you're not hip to the fascinatingly vast control the manipulative military complex has over government and politics you should spend an afternoon doing your own research. I won't float conspiracy theories here, but I will quote Dwight Eisenhower who said in his final speech in office on January 17th 1961

"...the total influence- economic, political, even spiritual- is felt in every city, every Statehouse, every office of the Federal government. We must recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet, we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources, and livelihood are all involved. So is the very structure of our society. In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence whether sought or unsought, by the MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX..."
